This is a bit belated, but if you are interested in Pesach posts (and a recipe for traditional Moroccan Pesach soup, which can be adjusted for non-kitniyot eaters), then please click on "Pesach" in the sidebar under "Categories."

Fava can cause to some to get sick and fall into coma after heavy bleeding from kidneys. If the indiviadual is lucky to come back) as i did, the painfull at least one year recovery is not an easy process.
Fava/FULL/BROAD beans is/was plentyfull used by Vat ican to eliminate anyone of Davidic dynasty, for David ha Meleh suffered from getting this 'delicacy'.
Same have been done in Ukraina for the same reason....
Many Suri/Kurdi/Iraky Jews experienced different levels of poisoning by full.
One of the consequences is to have very pre-mature babies that stay small all their life. You can see this in the Syrian community.
Please consider the danger of full.
People that sorunded me years ago did not and caused me nearly dead so to my son.
Thank you for reading this.

Chagim u'zmanim l'sasson!

First of all, Orna Nitzevet, I want to say how glad I am that you & your son survived a particularly horrible & long-term reaction to these beans. Baruch Hashem, Yishtabach Shemo!

Secondly, thank you for explaining how harmful a sensitivity to this bean can be. I didn't know to this extent.

Finally, I'm surprised to hear that David Hamelech was sensitive to this bean and that also the Vatican used this bean to eliminate Davidic descendants. I guess I'm wondering what the source for this information is?

How interesting that it nonetheless plays a starring role at the Moroccan Seder.

(Note: Potatoes can be used in the soup instead of beans.)

Thank you, Orna Nitzevet.

For anyone else interested in the sensitivity described by Orna Nitzevet, here is an article about it:
https://www.hidabroot.com/article/193269/All-You-Wanted-to-Know-About-Allergies-to-Broad-Beans

Apparently, people allergic to these beans suffer from "favism," which is an inherited genetic mutation in which such people lack the enzyme (G6PD) to metabolize the bean properly. They are even allergic to the pollen of the bean.

It's apparently common in people of Mediterranean descent.

Among Jews, it's apparently most common among Moroccan, Kurdi, and Iraqi Jews. (In view of this, I'm now truly mystified how this bean won a starring role among Moroccan Jews for Pesach.)

On the upside, such people also have higher resistance to malaria.

So there you go.

G6PD, i use to be a member of the G6PD federation (Italy)to help with studies and so, stop to do that when some antisemites started to stir the waters there.
And indeed no malaria danger, by oposite, danger of ANY VACCINE, PENICILINE, ASPIRINE AND HENNA...
The pollen of the beans caused me the coma! It is more dangerous then the consuption.
It is well known also by these federation gentiles about some TEHILIM describing the pain caused=FAVISM...i think it was TEHILIM 6???all together 4 of them...pain in the bones...etc...
Spread the truth please, protect the anointed....
Thank you for your very sweet and human reaction!
If i am not mistaken, the MISHNA must explain some of it...

I am lucky that in my family we use rice :).
And also that i married a Halabi, there was no chance for Ashkenazi BIGLAL ZE!
There is a tree that grows in Indonesia they call the STINKY BEAN TREE.
It have pods of something that look like green kidney beans and they are the antidote to the poisoning, it cleans the kidneys, liver and the blood stream! ( the leaves from olive tree can do that 10 times less in tea).
I use to treat a nearly 100 years old man for this with succes by preparing a meal of SAMBAL AND STNKY BEANS (similar to asparagus) with basmatti rice.
Any way to prevent or treat heart attack symptoms caused by blood clothering after being poisoned, it is good to have near very CHARIF pilpelim or salsa sauce, or SAMBAL sauce (Indonesian red peppers/ginger/garlic/onions/olive oil/honey/vinegar combination of our ZHOUK) and apply it down on the toung, bare feet and neck. (same effect can be achieved by CAYANNE pepper powder, to put in the shoes).
Weird, but it works, and no need to take anyone to hospital.
