Ahava Emunah bat Chava Ehta
This is Ahava Emuna's Love Faith Blog: The Journey and Bla-Blah of Ahava Emunah.
I'd never heard of her before, but reading her blog introduced me to a vibrant, radiant, and hopeful Jewish mother and wife who is fighting for her life against a painful and aggressive disease.
In her post entitled Dust Clay and Broken, one idea in particular stood out:
Broken hearts are spiritually open because we become more perceptive, conscious, and thankful for things we once took for granted like just being alive for another day.
No matter how trivial or insignificant those "old" blessings may seem, suffering intensifies empathy to the suffering of others.
