Sadly, the American government and media follows the Nazi playbook to manipulate society into going into war.

Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece?
Naturally, the common people don't want war...after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along...the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.
That is easy.
Look at how aware he was of what he was doing.
He shows total awareness of who the common people are and exactly how they feel: ANTI-war.
He knows it's not worth it for them.
He also shows complete awareness of what awaits any man drafted into war.
Yet that's merely seen as an obstacle to overcome with simple propaganda, as he describes in 3 easy steps:

Yet America's politicians and media realized they needed to adjust the script of the playbook to appeal to the modern American who thinks patriotism is a bad thing.

Because Americans today prefer to FEEL virtuous (without having to actually BE virtuous) rather than patriotic, the media and government now focus the script on other people in other countries:
That's exactly what's going on.
We can all see it.
- Tell your citizens they're being attacked.

- Denounce anyone who doesn't actively agree with you as suffering from a lack of compassion.

Because Americans today prefer to FEEL virtuous (without having to actually BE virtuous) rather than patriotic, the media and government now focus the script on other people in other countries:
- Tell your citizens the Ukrainians are being attacked.
- Denounce the peacemakers for a lack of Ukrainian patriotism.
- Denounce the peacemakers for exposing the Ukraine to danger.
That's exactly what's going on.
We can all see it.
Breaking Off from Brainwashing is Hard to Do
One secular liberal American wrote to express unhappiness regarding rising gasoline prices in the USA, but concluded by saying, "However, if that will help the Ukrainians, then I'm happy to pay the price!"
How deluded and brainwashed.
The Ukrainian people receive NOTHING from their government and NOTHING from whatever extra Americans pay at the pump.
And I don't know where goes all the money donated to different organizations for the Ukrainians.
It's shocking to realize it's davka America pushing the world into war.
That's pretty Edomite — I guess the true colors finally came through.
Rav Avigdor Miller fought against this his whole life.
He always encouraged us to vote for NON-liberal politicians — no matter what goodies the liberal politicians promised the frum community, Rav Miller exhorted everyone to vote according to public morality, not private goodies.
He tried very hard to prevent the kind of people in power now from getting into power.
But it's too late. Now the tide has turned so far, I don't think we can get them out.
And the Nazi playbook still works, apparently, because 65% of Americans support the Ukraine.
The Ukraine (most notably, its sleazebag leader) could have easily prevented this war by agreeing to Russia's pragmatic stipulations.
Donbas was always Russian & remains predominantly Russian until today; its recent border came about from an administrative decision by former Russian leader Nikita Khrushchev.
Anyway, the Ukraine doesn't have a history of being its own independent country.
Okay, sure, the Ukraine received independence as recently as the 1990s...and proceeded to fail miserably at being a remotely functional nation.
Until then, it was always part of Lithuania or Russia.
In fact, Ukrainians joined the Nazis during the Holocaust because the Nazis promised them independence (you see from this how low much of Ukrainian society is willing stoop just for the sake of ego), but the Nazis lost the war.
(Not that the Nazis would've kept their promises. Remember, they viewed non-Germans as second-class citizens. So in addition to being evil & barbaric, many Ukrainians were also stupid.)
I know it's hard with the entire mainstream media and the American government and even — shamefully — the Jewish media encouraging everyone to be gung-ho in favor of the Ukraine and all boo-hiss against Russia.
Even Israel's guy met with the sleazebag Ukrainian to assure him of support. (How wicked and idiotic.)
But I think the manipulation and propaganda are obvious.
