(A post regarding her situation appeared here: Please Daven for Chava Leah bat Esther: Here is Her Story & Family's Requests...)
On October 24, 2020, her sister-in-law wrote that b'chasdei Hashem, Chava Leah spoke a few words on Shabbos, she is off the ventilator, but still in need of oxygen. So her lungs have begun to work again—BARUCH HASHEM!
However, another family member added that she is confused & does not yet recognize people: "Please continue to daven and say Tehillim for her."
Chava Leah is a 26-year-old first-time mother who waited years for a child, then ended up in a medically induced coma & on a respirator after giving birth unconscious because of a particularly severe case of covid-19.
Until now, she didn't even know she gave birth.
(Her baby, Yehudah, has been in the care of his father & paternal grandmother.)
Wonderful readers, please note that only 5 days passed from the time the call went out from her family to publicize her situation en masse via email & all other means.
Until that point, despite the devoted davening of her family & friends, plus being on refuah shlaima email lists, she remained in a coma on a ventilator without her son ever having received a kiss & cuddle from his mother—that went on for the first 21 days of little Yehudah's life.
(Having said that, the original davening clearly proved its power by miraculously moving her from "fighting for her life" to "stable with a ventilator" within a couple of weeks!)
Then, at her family's request, word went out far & wide around the world, and within 5 days, Chava Leah is now awake & off the ventilator.
HUGE progress!!!
YOU did this! (From the Great Chessed & Rachamim of Hashem!)
All of you who davened & did good things for her merit, all of you who (like Hava suggested in the comments of the original post) also davened for baby Yehudah (for whom his mother's recovery is what he needs most), all of you who forwarded a request for tefillot via any means possible—look at what you did!
This is the power of coming together in huge global numbers with heartfelt caring & concern for our fellow Jews.
Obviously, Chava Leah bat Esther still needs copious heartfelt prayers & good deeds.
But it is so inspiring to see the quick results of mass global davening & good deeds for her desperate situation.
So let's take encouragement from this & keep davening for Chava Leah bat Esther.
Tizku l'mitzvot!!!
